In the afternoon we watched the 680 kg class. 64 teams had entered in that competition.
The Competition Area The men's competition was pulled on 8 different ropes at the same time and 4 more ropes were used for the women's competition bringing the total number of teams out on the competition area to 24 teams.
On Friday afternoon we competed in the 640 kg weight class. 56 teams were entered in that class and the teams were divided into 8 groups. In our group we had teams from the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland, England, and Sweden
We finished with a first place in our group The next round was an elimination round. The top two teams from each group would enter this round and the winners would go on to the next round. We had to pull against Sandhurst from England and we lost both ends. Sandhurst now had a spot in the top eight. Bluewater finished therefore in the top 16 but we did not make it to the top 8. Sandhurst went on to the finals and finished with a 4th place. The first place team in the 640 kg class was Goldscheuer from Germany and Engelberg from Switzerland finished 2nd with the Veenseboys from the Netherlands in 3rd. place. more results from the European Championships
