Hi Guys,

Thanks for coming to America, hey? Seriously, it was an honor to host you. We'll see you next year. Also, sorry about the delay getting in to The Busted Lift, but while you were down there trying to chase women I was still at the Park picking up empty plastic cups.
Thanks again,
John Finn

I attended the Irish fest in Dubuque, Iowa and had the privelage of seeing your team compete. I am sorry to say that I have never before seen a tug of war competion; I was thrilled and enjoyed watching the games. I hope you enjoyed your time in Dubuque and I hope to see you in our town again soon.

Molly Frommelt/Angie     13/Oct/2001

Denise and Col Gibso     07/Oct/2001

Just browsing at your website , a good one at that , we were in blackpool last year , and enjoyed watching you guys . The Canines next major goal is the 2004 Worlds in U.S.A. The cost is horrendous and we dont have sponsers , so 2002 is out of the question. So hopefully see you there.

Great pics on your site. I am also a member of the Falmouth Tug o war team in Nova Scotia. I came here and checked it out after ken told me of your site. Our style is a little bit different. We can use locks, have only one hand on the rope at a time, we use a movement called the backlock, we also heave. One of our pulls can be won two ways. By having the flag or centre marker on our side at the end of the 15 minute time limit or by pulling the other team out, that is dragging the other team completly across the centre line all of its members. We also have a loop at the end of our rope that the anchor uses and we use 10 men.

Ken Ledson     25/Sep/2001

I see you pull a different style of Tug-Of-War then we do here in Nova Scotia, Canada. We pull with ten men on a rope including an anchor, 15 minutes pulls, 1700lbs. Sometimes 5 minutes with 2000lbs. We pull teams across Nova Scotia and would like to pull other teams out of province. I will add that we have been undefeated for the last 3 years.....(any challenges?)

well done on the well maintained tug of war page it has enabled me to show my pullers just how truly international the sport of tug of war is. Cpl Elton George, British Army Foundation College Tug of War coach.

Don -&- Charlene Oesch     07/Feb/2001

Being novices to the sport of tug of war, we were truly amazed at the profesional web site that you are maintaining. Now that we know what a wide dimension this sport takes in, you can count on us to follow the teams efforts much more closely in the future.
Best of luck
